Demi meaning half in French.
Why Demi? It’s roughly half the whole bunch, half the new oak and half the price!
Demi is a barrel selection from Syrahmi 2012 Shiraz from the Greenstone Vineyard in Heathcote.
Deep dark crimson and purple in colour.
Intense perfume of lifted Asian spice, earth, violets, gun smoke powder and bright red fruits, think wild raspberries and cherries.
The palate shows classic Heathcote ‘terrior’ of savoury dried herbs, spice and black olive paste, very fine tannin, balanced red and dark fruits leading though with a long savoury finish. The acidity of the wine keeps the wine fresh and alive. Drink over the next 5+ years.
