Adam Foster has always had a great passion for collecting and drinking Pinot Noir, Burgundy particularly so he was intrigued to find out what all the fuss was about and started to make his own pinot in 2013. Like with Syrahmi Foster didn’t want to release the wine until it was ready to drink, so the wine was made bottled but needed a name and a label.

Foster a keen art collector was familiar with a painting named “The Garden of Earthly Delights” by Hieronymus Bosch but it wasn’t until he and his wife Pip took a trip to Spain and after visiting the Prado museum and seeing the painting, Adam was transfixed and the inspiration was born. From this painting came the name and then the label, which was created by a close friend Adriana Picker. Adriana visited the Foster’s property and local area where she gained inspiration, which became her muse for creating the beautiful labels.

The garden of earthly delights represents small batches of wine from local vineyards but unlike Syrahmi and Foster e Rocco they are not necessarily from Heathcote. The pinot is from Macedon and Foster has also made a Riesling is from Tooborac. The riesling was made on request from his wife Pip who suggested he make a white wine. Unfortunately for Pip it was a great success and now sells out quickly each year after release.

There are currently two wines under the GOED label, Pinot and Riesling.
